Cartier Tank Francaise Chronograph Stainless Steel Men's, White Roman Dial with Blue Steel Hands. The curved, rectangular solid case, straight lugs, and gently rounded rectangular art deco bezel, are polished/brushed. It has a silver dial with black Roman numeral hour markers, blued sword hands, and a blued center sweep second hand, around a black minute/one-fifth second track. The secret Cartier signature is in the X, and it has three recessed silver subsidiary dials with black Arabic numerals, black markers, and blued indicator hands, including a radial date register at 12 o'clock, a 12-hour chronograph totalizer at 8 o'clock, and there is a 30-minute chronograph totalizer at 5 o'clock. It's water resistant to 30 meters/100 feet, and the 7mm thick case, dial, and movement are all signed. This Cartier Tank Francaise Chronoflex Chronograph W51001Q has a Chronoflex L57 quartz movement, standardized for supreme accuracy.

Louis Cartier created the Tank watch in 1917. A legend was born. The first prototype was presented as a gift to General Pershing some years before the watch was introduced into the market in 1919. The lugs blend seamlessly into the bare edges of the flat vertical brancards, giving the watch its unique aesthetic. The clean, crisp lines have proved hugely popular with a free-spirited, elegant clientèle. The now-iconic Tank watch has inspired countless variations, yet managed to preserve its distinctive identity.

Almost eight decades after the Tank was first introduced in 1917 to much acclaim, Cartier released another charming reinterpretation with the Cartier Tank Francaise collection. Crafted in the same vein as its predecessor, its curved, square-shaped case features an octagonal crown set with a synthetic spinel cabochon. The dial conveys the same elegant black Roman Numerals, minute markers and blued steel hands. A captivating retelling of the well-loved classic, the Cartier Tank Francaise is also water resistant up to 30m.
