Chronograph Stopwatch function ans only 500 pieces made =================================================================== The name of a new watchmaking company N.O.A. stands for 'None of the Above'. The company chose the name that suggests its master watchmakers would strive for creating something different and absolutely unexpected. The N.O.A named its debut watch simply by a very special year - the 1675. It was an important year in the history of the mankind for several reasons: it marked the invention of differential calculus, Cassini discovered that the rings of Saturn were not solid, and finally Christian Huygen developed the balance spring for clocks. The 1675 watch features a number of unconventional details. The timepiece's case is styled as a trendy satellite dish displaying a wide inner ring fluted outward from the dial. The dial of the N.O.A 1675 sports three-dimensional hour-markers reminding posts positioned at the sloping dial ring. You will probably associate these originally designed hour-markers with the columns of Stonehenge keeping time in the old-fashioned way. To provide perfect luminosity, SuperLuminova covers the markers at the top. The white indexes of the dial have been individually machined, polished, colored and hand-plated. The indexes have then been set into special holes drilled into the dial ring and soldered from the back. From the first look at the 1675 you will notice that its crown is independently placed at 9 o'clock, while the pushers for the chronograph function are traditionally found at the right side of the case. The N.O.A watchmakers opted for the crown position at the left to make the big-sized timepiece more comfortable to wear. They have modified a Dubois-Depraz 2050 chronograph module to an ETA 2892 movement. The N.O.A. released the 1675 watch in a limited edition that comprised 500 pieces of every of the watch's four different versions. As for the dial of the 1675 watch, it is either matte off-white, black, brown, or black carbon fiber. Every dial version comes with silver indexes. At 3 o'clock, there is the sub-dial for measuring seconds, while the sub-dial for thirty minutes is placed at 9 o'clock. The case back of every 1675 model reveals its individual serial number. |
