At 39mm, its case is matched to Genta’s original dimensions, rooting the watch in history, whilst the warm rose case houses a crisp, white “Grande Tapisserie” dial, cut using a 100-year-old pantograph, a technique unique to Audemars Piguet. This method creates different shades depending on angle, in keeping with its immaculate satin brushed octagonal case and integrated bracelet, both in Audemars Piguet’s trademark 18k pink gold, a patented private blend often considered by connoisseurs to be the most attractive rose gold in the world. The sumptuous brushed and polished finishing of the original 1972 Royal Oak remains on the Royal Oak Chronographs of today, and with its comfortable and secure AP signature double deployant clasp, the 25960 is a rare piece of exceptional beauty and significance.
