Description
We proudly presents the Rolex Sea-Dweller 50th Anniversary, fully checked in our in-house accredited workshop.
Originally developed in 1967 to compliment the already popular Submariner collection, the Sea-Dweller was developed originally for saturation divers working for SeaLab who were spending a lot longer underwater than your casual Submariner wearer. Because of those extreme conditions and depths, the divers noticed that the crystal would pop out of the case during decompression due to the helium particles in the case. So, Rolex developed the Helium release valve under their patent and thus the Sea-Dweller was born and over 50 years later has become an iconic and integral part of the Rolex family.
This version of the Sea-Dweller, reference 126600 was first produced in 2017 to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Sea-Dweller is set in a robust 43mm stainless steel case with a black Cerachrom uni-rotational bezel. The dial is black and features large Chromalight hour markers for superior legibility underwater, as well as the striking red Sea-Dweller text (a nod to the original prototype which only had one line of red text) and date feature at 3 o’clock. Encased in sapphire crystal glass and with a Triplock screw-down crown as well as the signature helium release valve giving the watch a water resistance up to 122atm (1220m/4000ft). The watch is fitted with a matching stainless steel Oyster link bracelet with a folding Oysterlock clasp with Glidelock extension system.
Originally purchased in February 2019 and in mint partially stickered condition, the watch comes supplied with the original inner and outer Rolex boxes, swing tag, green seal, guarantee booklet, Sea-Dweller booklet, leather card holder and international warranty card.
This Sea-Dweller benefits from the coverage of its Rolex warranty until February 2024 however it is also covered by our 12-month warranty from the date of purchase.

1. Look for listings with the Certified icon
Certified watches can be identified by the green "C" icon in the search results and in the listing. You can also filter search results to only view Certified watches. On the listing page, you can see whether Certified is already included or whether it's an optional add-on to your purchase. 2. Certification by verified watchmakers
Before you receive your watch, it will be checked and certified by a verified watchmaker. Among other things, the watchmaker checks whether your watch matches the listing information and whether it complies with our definition of authenticity.
3. Receive your watch and digital certificate of authenticity
After successful certification, you can rest assured your new watch is genuine. This is confirmed by a certificate of authenticity, which you can access digitally after receiving your watch.
Chrono24 Buyer Protection offers complete security for your payment. If you purchase from a professional dealer, we will hold the purchase amount in our escrow account for 14 days after you receive your watch. This means your money is safe until you're sure you're satisfied with your purchase. Only then will we transfer payout to the dealer. If you aren't satisfied with your purchase, you can exercise your statutory right to withdraw and return the watch to the dealer within 14 days for any reason.

If certification is already included, you'll receive your certified watch at no additional cost. You pay the purchase price of the watch as usual via our escrow service.
If you book certification for a watch that is not already certified, you pay the purchase price of the watch plus an additional €199 for certification. We will only issue an invoice for the certification if you expressly request one.
If certification is available for a watch, you'll see the green Certified icon in the search results and in the listing. As we are continually adding new watches to our Certified program, it's worth checking your favorite watches for the Certified icon from time to time.
All Certified watches are comprehensively checked against specific criteria by a verified watchmaker. This is how we guarantee the authenticity of your watch.
The check includes the following:
Authenticity check: We check both the exterior and interior of the watch against our definition of authenticity. See also: How do we define authenticity?
Condition check: We check whether the condition of the watch matches the information in the listing, including the complications, winding mechanism, chronograph function, and more. See also: How do we define authenticity?
Scope of delivery check: All additional items, e.g., original box and papers, are checked for completeness and accordance with the model reference.
Stolen watch check: We check whether the watch's serial number is listed in the leading stolen watches databases. This ensures that there are no thefts reported for the serial number.
Every watchmaker who certifies watches under the Certified program has to meet certain criteria. In this way, we ensure he or she has suitable qualifications and technical equipment. Through individualized audits, we also ensure that watches are tested exclusively by experts and in accordance with our standards. The certificate of authenticity is a digital document that cannot be lost, stolen, or damaged. Once you've received the watch, you can find the corresponding certificate in your Chrono24 account. After logging in, you can access it under the "Buy" menu or directly via your Watch Collection.
Returns under the Certified program are subject to our general returns policy. If you buy from a professional dealer, you can exercise your statutory right to withdrawal within 14 days of receiving the watch and get your money back quickly and hassle-free.
