Description

Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Tradition d'Excellence Cabinet 4 Tourbillon Chronograph 10-Days Twin-Barrell Grande Complication in 950 Platinum on Bracelet Boutique Limited Edition of Only 20 Pieces with Semi-Skeletonized Silver "Clous de Paris" Dial and Tourbillon Escapement located 9 o' Clock and a Sapphire Exhibition Skeleton Case Back.

The dial of this watch is extremely unique. It's engine-turned using a century-old turning lathe and is partially openworked “Grande Tapisserie” motif. The dial cut-outs provide glimpses of the two barrels (at 6 and 12 o’clock): The first reveals the power-reserve system and the second the stopwork system. The tourbillon is visible at 9 o’clock. As they rotate, the barrels display the letters of the engraving: Tradition d’Excellence No 4 edition limitee a 20 pieces and Royal Oak Tourbillon 10 jours Audemars Piguet.

The 10-Day Power Reserve System features an activation of a second reserve indication for the last 24 hours (this system is mounted on a barrel located at 6 o’clock). The double barrel is equipped with a system limiting barrel revolutions to 20. This mechanism guarantees almost constant force, from the first turn of the crown and for the entire 10-day period. The two parallel-mounted barrels mesh with the pinion of the centre wheel, thus mostly compensating for the loss of force linked to the friction of the pivot in the jewel. Jewel barrel-staff beds and 18kt white gold 750 barrels with palladium, thus reducing the losses of force caused by the springs rubbing against the cover and the base of the barrels.

The 44mm diameter dodecagonal solid three-body case, hooded downturned lugs, and flat hexagonal bezel with 8 hexagonal face screws and polished beveled edges, are polished/satin-brushed. The Semi-Skeletonized Silver "Clous de Paris" Dial is partially openworked with white gold faceted baton hands with luminous inserts, and a black center sweep chronograph hand with a needle tip. This Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Tradition d'Excellence Cabinet 4 Tourbillon Chronograph 10-Days Twin-Barrell mechanical marvel has a manual winding Audemars Piguet caliber 2893 Chronograph with mechanical column-wheel, partly in titanium as well as Nickel silver mainplate and a white gold Double parallel-mounted barrel. The Tourbillon carriage weighs only 0.45g and the Carriage is balanced by a 0.02g gold weight. This unique masterpiece features a "KIF Elastor" balance anti-impact system and a Hairspring with Phillips screw. It's constructed with 37 jewels and comprised of 332 components. It features Arcap bridges made of super nickel silver and a Coupling lever with intermediate wheel and chronograph driving wheel made from titanium. The tourbillon bridge setting is made from yellow gold and the Grey 750 gold barrels with palladium and barrel arbour housing made from a jewel. The Chronograph is equipped with a 30-minute counter and a column-wheel device and is endowed with a new coupling lever carrying two titanium wheels and thereby enhancing precision when starting and stopping the chronograph hand. The mechanism oscillates at a frequency of 21,600 A/h (3 Hz).

The Carriage is balanced thanks to a 0.02 g gold weight and housing over 70 components, for a total weight of 0.45 g. Straight-line lever escapement weighing no more than 0.003 g. The balance is conceived according to the principle of a marine chronometer equipped with four regulating screws that adjust the rate of the watch, as well as a bent balance-spring ending in a Phillips curve. It has a diameter of 10mm and its cadence is 21,600 vibrations per hour.

The Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Tradition d'Excellence Cabinet 4 Tourbillon Chronograph Platinum stands as an exceptional timepiece, revered for its rarity and captivating beauty. Crafted from solid 950 platinum, this extraordinary wristwatch surpasses the allure of gold, making it a coveted treasure in the world of luxury timekeeping.

The AP Royal Oak Tradition d'Excellence Cabinet 4 Tourbillon Chronograph 10-Days stands as an exceptional timepiece, revered for its rarity and captivating beauty. Crafted from solid 950 platinum, this extraordinary wristwatch surpasses the allure of gold, making it a coveted treasure in the world of luxury timekeeping.

Platinum, a lustrous and prestigious metal, holds a distinct allure that sets it apart. It is renowned for its exceptional density, durability, and resistance to corrosion, attributes that contribute to the enduring value of the AP Royal Oak Tradition d'Excellence Cabinet 4 Tourbillon Chronograph 10-Days. But what truly sets platinum apart is its scarcity. With only 160 tons extracted annually compared to a staggering 1,500 tons of gold mined, this precious metal is a rarity cherished by collectors and enthusiasts.

Because each of the watches in the Tradition d’Excellence Collection represents the quintessence of its know-how, the Manufacture Audemars Piguet owed it to itself to offer an interpretation of a now legendary timepiece, the Royal Oak. Created in 1972, the Royal Oak was first and foremost a daring wager, a challenge to the watchmaking conventions of the time. Against all odds, it became an immediate success, quickly asserting itself as the first high-end steel sportswatch. It has since been interpreted in a wide range of versions, some of them equipped with the most sophisticated movements.

In the past, gentlemen of true standing were expected to exercise mind and matter through pastimes both sporting and intellectual. One pursuit of the latter was the creation of a ‘cabinet’ – not the actual woodwork of course, but the active and knowledgeable collection of curiosities with which to fill it. Audemars Piguet’s Tradition d’Excellence series follows a similar philosophy, steadily accumulating eight unique collectors’ pieces for their own wooden cabinet. The launch of this jaw-dropping Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Tradition d'Excellence – the fourth of an increasingly coveted collection.

Elevating its stature to unprecedented heights, the Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Tradition d'Excellence Cabinet 4 Platinum Royal Oak Tourbillon Chronograph arrives as an embodiment of not just horological excellence, but as a testament to the convergence of art, craftsmanship, and exclusivity.

Each of the 20 pieces of this masterwork is accompanied by a special certificate, a sacred testament signed by none other than the president of Audemars Piguet. This certificate attests to the origins of this horological marvel, confirming that it emerged from the hallowed workshops of Audemars Piguet, meticulously crafted by the hands of their esteemed master watchmakers.

This certificate goes beyond a mere piece of paper; it is a gateway to an exclusive realm where time is measured in exquisite artistry and unparalleled dedication. It certifies that this masterpiece is not merely a timekeeping instrument but a manifestation of the brand's heritage, vision, and commitment to the pinnacle of craftsmanship.

As you hold this certificate, you hold a piece of history - a history that speaks of the meticulous attention to detail, the relentless pursuit of perfection, and the harmonious fusion of tradition and innovation that defines Audemars Piguet. And beyond these words, this certificate carries the weight of rarity, confirming that a mere twenty of these extraordinary timepieces were ever crafted, ascending it to the ranks of the rarest Grande Complications ever to grace the world.

In a world where mass production dominates, the Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Tradition d'Excellence Cabinet 4 Platinum Royal Oak Tourbillon Chronograph, accompanied by its distinguished certificate, stands as an oasis of exclusivity, a shrine to the art of watchmaking that invites you to partake in a narrative reserved for the discerning few.
