Description |
We are proud to present this stylish Panerai Radiomir California watch for sale.
In 1935 the Royal Italian Navy approached Panerai and other watch manufacturers with the request of designing a watch resistant to extreme conditions while at the same time keeping exact time for the frogman commandos of the First Submarine Group Command and offering excellent legibility even under water. The prototype submitted by Panerai in 1936 was called Radiomir, from the name of the luminescent substance used for hands and indices and passed all the tests successfully. This version the Radiomir PAM00424 was launched in 2014 and is still in production today. It comes set in a large 47mm polished 316L steel cushion-shaped case with a smooth polished bezel and more traditional shaped screw-down crown, based on the early models before Panerai’s patented crown-lock system was invented in 1955. The dial is a clean black colour with the unusual ‘California’ style hour markers (Roman numerals at the top/Arabic numerals at the bottom), gold edged hands and protected by a domed sapphire crystal glass. It is powered by the Panerai calibre P.3000 in-house manual wind mechanism with a ‘3-day’ power reserve and is visible through an exhibition caseback. It comes fitted on a lightly worn black calf leather strap with steel pin buckle. Originally purchased in May 2015 and in mint condition for its age, this Radiomir comes with its original inner and outer boxes, instruction booklet, swing tag and international warranty booklet with barcode stickers. Please contact us for shipping costs to the E.U. All images are of the actual watch for sale. We do not use library pictures. |

Do you have any questions?
Certified watches can be identified by the green "C" icon in the search results and in the listing. You can also filter search results to only view Certified watches. On the listing page, you can see whether Certified is already included or whether it's an optional add-on to your purchase. See also: What's the difference between Certified Included and Certified Optional?
2. Certification by verified watchmakers
Before you receive your watch, it will be checked and certified by a verified watchmaker. Among other things, the watchmaker checks whether your watch matches the listing information and whether it complies with our definition of authenticity.
3. Receive your watch and digital certificate of authenticity
After successful certification, you can rest assured your new watch is genuine. This is confirmed by a certificate of authenticity, which you can access digitally after receiving your watch.
If you purchase from a private seller, we will hold the purchase amount in our escrow account for 7 days after you receive your watch. Please note, however, that private sellers are not legally mandated to accept returns.
Certified is our new certification service whereby verified watchmakers check and certify the authenticity of watches to provide customers on our marketplace with a worry-free buying experience. After successful certification, you'll receive a digital certificate of authenticity that confirms the watch meets our definition of authenticity and matches the information in the listing. Certified watches come with a three-year authenticity guarantee. See also: How is the watch checked?
If you've selected a watch with Certified as an optional add-on, you can book certification for an additional charge of €199. In this case, the watch will be checked by one of our in-house watchmakers before being shipped to you. See also: What's included in Certified Optional?
If you book certification for a watch that is not already certified, you pay the purchase price of the watch plus an additional €199 for certification. We will only issue an invoice for the certification if you expressly request one.
The check includes the following:
Authenticity check: We check both the exterior and interior of the watch against our definition of authenticity. See also: How do we define authenticity?
Condition check: We check whether the condition of the watch matches the information in the listing, including the complications, winding mechanism, chronograph function, and more. See also: How do we define authenticity?
Scope of delivery check: All additional items, e.g., original box and papers, are checked for completeness and accordance with the model reference.
Stolen watch check: We check whether the watch's serial number is listed in the leading stolen watches databases. This ensures that there are no thefts reported for the serial number.
Private sellers are not legally mandated to accept returns.
