Description |
Every watch listed by us for sale is available for immediate collection or delivery. We strictly do not "source" watches as this practice is massively flawed.
Available for viewing (strictly by appointment), collection or immediate nationwide or international delivery. We are delighted to offer for sale this fine example which is a discontinued variant of a Rolex Yacht-Master 40. This particular watch benefits from a complete Rolex service and remains unworn since. An excellent condition pre-owned 40mm case size stainless steel and yellow gold bi/colour superlative chronometer, calibre 3135, automatic movement Rolex Yacht-Master 40 model reference 16623 featuring a blue index dial surrounded by a sandblasted 60-minute bidirectional yellow gold bezel with polished finish numerals on a full retail length stainless steel and yellow gold bi-metal Rolex Oyster bracelet. As mentioned above this watch was sent to the UK based Rolex service centre at St. James, Mayfair, London for a complete service where it underwent a full service to its movement as well as a meticulous refurbishment of the case and bracelet also a new crown along with two links were fitted. The work came to a total of £970. The service stickers remain in place and the watch is unworn since. As shown in the detailed images this watch is supplied with the original inner Rolex box, two original Rolex booklets, the original Rolex certificate holder and the original certificate dated August 2007 when first supplied new Gibraltar and a previous Rolex service warranty card dated July 2010. Additional provenance included accompanies this watch which consists of: the new style Rolex service box, the new style Rolex service pouch, the Rolex service manual, original service invoice (£970) and the Rolex service warranty card dated February 2023. This Rolex Yacht-Master 40 benefits from the remainder of the Rolex service warranty which expires in February 2025 and one year warranty with ourselves valid from the point of purchase. |

Before you receive your watch, it will be checked and certified by a verified watchmaker. Among other things, the watchmaker checks whether your watch matches the listing information and whether it complies with our definition of authenticity.
3. Receive your watch and digital certificate of authenticity
After successful certification, you can rest assured your new watch is genuine. This is confirmed by a certificate of authenticity, which you can access digitally after receiving your watch.
If you purchase from a private seller, we will hold the purchase amount in our escrow account for 7 days after you receive your watch. Please note, however, that private sellers are not legally mandated to accept returns.
Certified is our new certification service whereby verified watchmakers check and certify the authenticity of watches to provide customers on our marketplace with a worry-free buying experience. Certified watches come with a three-year authenticity guarantee. See also: How is the watch checked?
If you've selected a watch with Certified as an optional add-on, you can book certification for an additional charge of €199. In this case, the watch will be checked by one of our in-house watchmakers before being shipped to you. See also: What's included in Certified Optional?
If you book certification for a watch that is not already certified, you pay the purchase price of the watch plus an additional €199 for certification. We will only issue an invoice for the certification if you expressly request one.
The check includes the following:
Authenticity check: We check both the exterior and interior of the watch against our definition of authenticity. See also: How do we define authenticity?
Condition check: We check whether the condition of the watch matches the information in the listing, including the complications, winding mechanism, chronograph function, and more. See also: How do we define authenticity?
Scope of delivery check: All additional items, e.g., original box and papers, are checked for completeness and accordance with the model reference.
Stolen watch check: We check whether the watch's serial number is listed in the leading stolen watches databases. This ensures that there are no thefts reported for the serial number.
Private sellers are not legally mandated to accept returns.
