This attractive Tudor Oyster Prince is a 34 mm Oyster case with a production date of 1953- the reference number 7809, was first released as a BNGE test timepiece, and after it's stunning successes, it started to be produced in higher numbers. The case is a Goldfilled case, with a stainless steel case back. The case has undergone a full spec 40 microns gold fill rebuild, the case numbers are a little bit weakened due to polishing over the years, and although you can make out the reference number and the serial number 90xxx, is attributable to the 1953 era itself, pay attention to the absolutely superb Honeycomb SWISS only dial that part is likely Ra. So, in all probability it is a collector's timepiece.
The watch has had a full service, clean, and the results are there for you to see! The watch is maintaining 275- 280 Degrees as a regular amplitude at full wind, and the watch components inside are really clean and nice. Pay special attention to the TUDOR on the case back, it is the old style logo of Tudor, with the reference number and serial number engraved / stamped on the case back.
The caliber is FEF 390 (Tudor 390) that beats at 18,000 BPH, and in super fine condition. The case has a Oyster Patent 5.5 mm large bulbous crown and crown tube, these parts are very scarce! I tried to keep at the 'period specific' promise of 100% originality, almost like the day it was produced 70 years ago.
Please note the strap/ band is a hand stitched, hand made strap, with a stainless steel buckle. The strap is chocolate brown and new.
